Angel Oak

The Angel Oak on Johns Island in South Carolina is reported to be the oldest living or man made object east of the Rocky Mountains. It has an estimated age of over 1,500 years old. It is a live oak tree and is owned by the City of Charleston. There is no charge to view the tree. The surrounding park (with gift shop) is open from 9-5 Monday to Saturday, and 1-5 on Sunday.
