The Charleston Place hotel, formerly known as The Omni, is a high-end hotel and shopping center located at 205 Meeting Street in Downtown Charleston. The shopping area on the first floor of the hotel is publicly accessible (as a walk-through from King Street to Meeting Street) and contains high end stores such as Laura Ashley, Gucci, Godiva Chocolates, and Brookstone.
There are two restaurants, the Charleston Grill and the Palmetto Cafe, located on the first floor. The Charleston Grill is one of only three Mobil four-or-five star restaurants in w:South Carolina. (Actually, all three are located in the greater Charleston area.)
The hotel is operated by Orient Express Hotels and is a Mobil 4-star lodging. TripAdvisor.com indicates an average price of $446.00 per night.
