Footlight Players

The Footlight Players are a theatre group that started in Charleston in 1931. They are the oldest such group still active in the state of South Carolina. The Footlight Players performed the first show upon the re-opening of the Dock Street Theatre in 1937.
The Footlight Players have used both Dock Street Theatre and the Footlight Players Workshop as their main stage. Their current seasons consists of six plays scheduled over the months of September to May.
