Footlight Players Workshop at 20 Queen Street

The Footlight Players Workshop, located at 20 Queen Street, was purchased by the Footlight Players in 1934. The building was originally constructed in the mid 1800s to be a cotton warehouse. The inside of the building has a mural that pictures the 200+ year history of Charleston theatre.

When the Footlight Players used the Dock Street Theatre as their main stage, this Workshop was used as a rehearsal hall and to manage costumes and scenery.

(Much of the above information was gathered from a Charleston Preservation Society historical marker attached to the building).
