The Hampton Park Dog Run is located at the corner of Rutledge and Grove near the baseball stadium.

It's a large fenced in grassy/sandy area where dogs can be let off-leash to run around and play with other dogs. A water fountain provides a source of water for thirsty dogs, but it's never a bad idea to bring along your own as well. A large tree (there used to be two) provides shades for dogs and their people. Two poop bag stations are usually stocked with bags for picking up after your dogs, but sometimes they're empty so always bring along your own bags, just in case. Picking up after your dog is expected (after all, nobody wants to be walking around trying to dodge poop). If you don't, you will probably get nasty stares from people.

Chairs and benches are available for people to sit in for relaxing/socializing while the dogs play. A new sign/bulletin board (installed summer 2007) provides a place for people to put event and pet-related notices up.

There are always lots of tennis balls lying around to throw for your pooch. Feel free to bring your own toys. Expect it to become a community toy while in the dog run though.

Busy times are usually early in the morning and between 5-8 PM.
