Isle of Palms is one of the three major beach locations close to Charleston, SC (the other two being Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach). Geographic and population information concerning Isle of Palms can be found at the wikipedia article on Isle of Palms.

Isle of Palms is the most commercialized of the three Charleston beach areas. There are a large number of hotels available, as well as a wide range of beach restaurants and bars (particularly along the southern part of Ocean Boulevard). Many houses on Isle of Palms can be rented. Rental companies include Island Realty and East Islands Rentals. The northern end of the Isle of Palms incorporates the Wild Dunes Resort.

The Isle of Palms is accessible from Downtown Charleston by taking Highway 17 north from downtown, proceeding over the Arthur Ravenel Bridge, following Highway 17 through Mount Pleasant, and then turning right on Highway 517 (the Isle of Palms Connector). Routes from Sullivan's Island and via Interstate 526 are also possible.
