Mill Pond

Mill Pond was a large inlet off the Ashley River until it was covered (primarily by the Beach Company) for construction. Currently, it is an underground lake that comes up when rain and high tide combine, causing extreme flooding centered around Rutledge Avenue and Calhoun Street.
