O is a 2001 film which takes Shakespeare's Othello and modernizes it (similar to the modern films Romeo and Juliet and 10 Things I Hate About You). The movie starts Julia Stiles, Josh Hartnett, and Mekhi Phifer.
The film is set "at a private high school in Charleston, SC". Much of the movie was filmed in and around the College of Charleston. Kresse Arena, the College of Charleston basketball venue, is clearly visible during the basketball scenes of the movie.
